The country's energy systems have come under increased attacks in the past few days

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have caused electricity outages in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were hurt while inhabitants in eastern districts were left without electricity and encountered problems to drinking water, according to local authorities.

Meanwhile, a minor was lost their life in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, based on information from regional authorities.

Russian forces has increased strikes on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while the country's government has requested "substantial measures" from partner nations to apply pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not window dressing but strong steps - from the America, Europe and the G7 - in delivering protection systems and applying sanctions," was stated in a public message.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 missiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were striving to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes damaged electrical systems and residential structures in the capital.

Several of the people wounded in the assaults on the city have been hospitalized, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region came under significant strikes during nighttime hours. A young boy was killed and multiple civilians were injured.

The attacks come after nights of aerial attacks in the territory, sections of which remain under the control of Russian forces.

The entire country is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to spot.

Government officials told journalists that Moscow was deliberately attempting to damage the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already disrupting energy systems.

Officials stated technical personnel and authorities were bracing for further attacks.
